The Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) and CIC Japan Desk will once again host "Japan Innovation Night: Best in Biotech" - a groundbreaking event showcasing the latest advancements in biotechnology from Japanese startups.

Building on the momentum of previous delegations to Japan from the State of Illinois led by Governor J.B. Pritzker in October 2024 and the City of Chicago led by Deputy Mayor Kenya K. Merritt in March 2025, a high-level Japanese delegation will visit Illinois June 8-10 to strengthen collaboration in the rapidly advancing field of quantum technology.

The Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) will host 10 Japanese game-related companies at the Japan Pavilion at Game Developers Conference (GDC) 2025 from March 19-21 in San Francisco. This year, the Japan Pavilion will feature a range of video game industry companies showcasing a variety of products, from indie games to middleware to AI editors. Additionally, the booth will include a demo area where visitors can experience first-hand over 70 game titles from over 40 Japanese game developers. The Japan Pavilion will be located at the Moscone Center, North and South Halls, Booth C1669 (see map).

The Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) will showcase 31 Japanese startup exhibitors at the CES 2025 Japan (J-Startup) Pavilion from January 7th to 10th in Las Vegas. This year, the Japan Pavilion – located in CES’ startup arena Eureka Park – will feature an event stage where exhibiting startups will participate in daily pitch events and international pitch battles. The Japan Pavilion will be located at Tech West Venetian Expo 1F Hall G Booths 61000-61001 (see map). The exhibiting startups will also be given the opportunity to participate in various media-oriented events during the week of CES, with the support of JETRO.

On November 14th, the Consumer Technology Association (CTA) announced the honorees of the CES 2025 Innovation Awards®. The Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) will once again sponsor the Japan (J-Startup) Pavilion at CES’ startup arena Eureka Park from January 7-10, bringing 31 rising startups from Japan to Las Vegas. This year seven of the Japan Pavilion exhibitors have been designated CES Innovation Award honorees.

This year, JETRO has selected 10 rising Japanese tech startups from a variety of industries, including AI, XR, and FoodTech, to exhibit at the Japan Pavilion. The Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), with the support of the Government of Japan’s Cabinet Office, will launch this year’s Global Startup Acceleration Program (GSAP) in September. The acceleration program will focus on supporting the overseas expansion of Japanese startups. 100 eager startups have been carefully selected to participate in the free program.

The Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) announced today that 52 technology startups will showcase their innovations at CES 2022 from Jan. 5-8 in Las Vegas. The number of startups representing Japan at the JAPAN Pavilion (commonly known as the “J-Startup Pavilion”) in Eureka Park has doubled from 26 during the last in-person show in January 2020, prompting its host, JETRO, to open a second pavilion on the Venetian Expo’s second floor for CES 2022. Forty companies will exhibit at the JAPAN Pavilion in Eureka Park and 12 at the second pavilion.

The Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) is collaborating with the University of Tokyo, Sumitomo Life Insurance Company and U.S. ecosystem players such as Berkeley SkyDeck and ATI (Austin Technology Incubator) to hold an online symposium on Nov. 10th at 4PM PST.
