Officials from the Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Army for Installations, Housing and Partnerships and Corvias toured Fort Meade on May 22 to inspect ongoing Corvias-led improvements to military housing on the installation.

Corvias and Wayne State University are proud to recognize Nevaeh Rogan and Jaafar Aljeraiw as recipients of its annual Wayne State Corvias Endowed Scholarship Award. Both students will receive $12,500 to apply toward their undergraduate education. Seven additional students were also awarded scholarships, which totaled $35,000. All recipients will receive further access to mentoring, internships, and networking.

Renovations to nearly 300 homes at Fort Novosel began April 24 as part of a $24 million investment by Corvias and the U.S. Army to support installation readiness goals at the Home of Army Aviation, the branch’s central location for training Army aviators, including helicopter pilots.

More than 1,700 military family homes at the U.S. Army’s Fort Sill will receive modernized heating and cooling technology over the next three years as part of a Corvias improvement project at the installation.

Corvias announced today it secured access to more than $560 million in capital to support its privatized military housing portfolio, which is owned in partnership with the U.S. Army, across six installations.

Corvias’ military housing properties across seven installations showed significant improvements in the annual Army Tenant Satisfaction Survey. Launched in April 2024, the third-party administered survey aims to gain on-base housing feedback from soldiers and their families about the physical condition of the housing and community infrastructure.

Across the nation, volunteering is in decline. In fact, 2024 saw the lowest rate of formal volunteering in nearly three decades, according to the U.S. Census Bureau and AmeriCorps. To appreciate individual volunteers at Corvias and fuel more volunteering across U.S. employers by sharing what works, Corvias Foundation announced its recognition of three team members at Corvias.

To provide greater value to partners and student residents, Corvias Property Management completed its first major energy efficiency project in its higher education portfolio. The project, which was conducted at Wayne State University (WSU), included nearly 1,600 LED lighting fixtures with motion sensors, and was funded mostly by $100k in rebates from public utility provider DTE Energy.

In October, a project to complete four new interactive playgrounds wrapped up in Corvias Property Management communities at Fort Johnson. Children of all ages can enjoy 14 playgrounds and 19 swing sets across three military housing neighborhoods on the installation.

The Corvias team based at Wayne State University had another successful year of volunteering their time on behalf of the John D. Dingell VA Medical Center in Detroit to help keep veterans warm this winter season.

Day two of the 2024 Association of Defense Communities (ADC) Installation Innovation Forum was packed with distinguished speakers and informative sessions. “Advancing Indoor Environmental Conditions for Increased Readiness and Resilience” attracted an engaged audience eager to learn more about how science and advancements in indoor wellness can contribute to positive outcomes for service members and their families living in military housing communities.

“Ready, Set, Power: Energizing Military Housing for the Army” kicked off an afternoon discussion about energy conservation measures on the first day of the Association of Defense Communities’ Installation Innovation Forum in San Antonio, Texas.

Earlier this year, Corvias delivered an updated comprehensive quality assurance program to enhance living conditions and improve resident satisfaction within its military housing portfolio. When the goal is supporting military families, an event that involves the partnership of a third more sponsors than previous years is worth celebrating. The 2024 Corvias Foundation “Tee Up Fore Our Future” golf tournament brought a 32 percent increase in corporate sponsors who came together recently to support the educational dreams of military-connected families. As a leading provider of solar power for privatized housing on military installations, last week Corvias hosted Honorable Rachel Jacobson, Assistant Secretary of the Army for Installations, Energy, and Environment to recognize the progress of the ongoing solar project at Fort Riley. Now in phase 3, this project supports the Army’s readiness and resiliency goals.

The Corvias Property Management and crisis action teams are working to make needed repairs at Fort Liberty residences for military families following the aftermath of Tropical Storm Debby. The extreme wind and rain resulted in damage that included 55 roof leaks, 13 instances of foundation flooding, 26 water intrusions at windows, 15 fallen trees, and four homes with siding and fascia damage.

As students head to colleges and trade schools this fall, seven students will do so with a total of $50,000 in scholarships from Corvias Foundation in support of their dreams. This summer, Corvias Foundation is continuing its annual tradition of awarding scholarships to children of Corvias employees from across the nation. Among the 19 students who applied for the scholarship, the Foundation selected seven students.

Yesterday, an afternoon ribbon cutting event celebrated the completion of 52 new homes in the Warner Peterson neighborhood at Fort Riley. Developed in partnership between Corvias and the US Army, these homes, including three accessible homes, aim to satisfy the needs of the modern military family.
