Boulder Regular Dental Hygiene Visits & Gum Disease Treatments: Service Update

Alpine Dental Health (303-443-1146) in Boulder has announced improvements to its treatment protocol for routine check-ups and hygiene visits.

-- Alpine Dental Health has made updates to its dental hygiene visits and gum disease treatment protocols at its Boulder location. The practice has improved its preventive care approach to better detect and treat periodontal disease, which affects nearly half of adults 30 years and older, according to CDC data.

Research published in BMC Oral Health examines the connection between oral health and quality of life among older adults in Europe. The study found that higher quality of life was associated with the presence of all natural teeth, and among those with missing teeth, with fewer missing teeth and properly replaced natural teeth.

The dental hygiene visits at Alpine Dental Health now include additional screening measures and patient education components specifically designed to detect early signs of gingivitis before progression to more serious conditions.

"We recognize that dental problems often develop without pain, which makes regular hygiene exams essential for maintaining oral health," said a spokesperson from Alpine Dental Health. "Our goal is to diagnose problems early when treatment is simpler and less expensive for our patients."

During a routine hygiene visit at Alpine Dental Health, the hygienist removes plaque and tartar, performs a detailed gum examination, and provides personalized home care instructions. For patients showing signs of gum disease, the practice has implemented advanced scaling and root planing protocols.

A patient shared their review: "Like many, I am not a fan of dental office visits. However, my last dental cleaning with the Alpine Dental team could be described as "fun," and the cleaning was among the most thorough and gentle that I've ever received. As a bonus, the conversation was educational and enjoyable."
