South Korean AI startup ‘Nuvilab’ (CEO Logan Kim) announced on the 30th that it has finalized an exclusive contract to supply its AIoT-based meal analysis solution, ‘Nutrivision AI’, to dozens of hospitals in the United States. Valued at several million dollars, the agreement covers exclusive rights and initial deployment, with final administrative procedures in progress.
This marks a global first: a Korean AI startup exclusively applying its technology within a U.S. hospital system. It is also the first time that such a solution has been adopted in the healthcare and foodtech industries, setting a new benchmark for digital innovation in clinical nutrition management.
Nutrivision AI enables real-time scanning of patient meals to reduce human error in quality-control (QC) processes. The solution enhances both patient safety and hospital operational efficiency through its AIoT-powered approach that bridges physical devices with intelligent software.
What sets Nuvilab apart is its integration of multimodal technology and intuitive Human-AI interaction design, forming a comprehensive and vertical AI solution tailored for hospital settings. Leveraging Real-World Data (RWD) collected directly from actual use, Nutrivision AI continually evolves and quickly adapts to diverse environments, ensuring flexibility and scalability.
A spokesperson from Nuvilab stated, “This achievement symbolizes the global potential of Korean AI foodtech in real-world healthcare applications. Starting with the initial deployments, we aim to gradually expand our presence in the U.S. and enter other international healthcare markets including Canada and Singapore.”
Nuvilab has received international recognition, ranking No. 1 in Korea and No. 11 globally on the ‘2024 FoodTech 500’, a prestigious global list highlighting the world’s most innovative foodtech companies, and winning its third ‘Innovation Award’ at CES 2025 for its cutting-edge food scanning and dietary AI solutions.
