University of Phoenix College of Doctoral Studies Features Academic Blogs on Research Hub

Academic blogs support community of practitioner scholars and showcase current research guidance, activities and achievements by research center leaders, fellows, faculty and students

University of Phoenix College of Doctoral Studies Research and Scholarship Enterprise is pleased to announce the launch of academic blogs on its Research Hub, featuring community support and highlighting scholarly work from a community of practitioner scholars and researchers. The blog entries educate about specific research projects, provide research support and guidance, and celebrate achievements of the College’s community.

“We are pleased to feature the academic blogs as part of our ongoing work to foster connection, visibility and support within our online practitioner scholar community,” shares Hinrich Eylers, Ph.D., P.E., vice provost, College of Doctoral Studies. “Just as we envisioned, our Research hub allows us to elevate the scholarly inquiry we’re already producing and engage our learners and faculty together.”

The academic blogs are published in the Research Articles section of the Research Hub. As part of the College’s broader learning culture, the Research Hub provides doctoral student support resources and showcases scholarly articles and research news focused on providing value-driven, real-world solutions. Since launching in 2024, the blog entries already have over 146,000 views.

The academic blogs support the mission of the Research Centers at the College of Doctoral Studies, to lead, integrate, and deliver multidisciplinary research and development solutions in the core areas of leadership, workplace diversity, and educational technology. Each research center has unique focus areas and targets several key areas of study, with which academic blog contributors can engage.

  • Center for Leadership and Entrepreneurial Research (CLER): Chaired by Rodney Luster, Ph.D., the CLER calibrates research through the lens of business and entrepreneurial insight, viewing the spectrum of business, entrepreneurism, and organization as all-encompassing, where the potentials of scholar-practitioner engagement intersect with industry dynamics to uncover the possibilities that emerge when research is applied. Areas of research and topics highlighted on the blog include organizational strategy, industrial organizational research, and transformative learning.
  • University of Phoenix Career Institute®: Home to the Career Optimism Index®, the Career Institute was created to help address systemic barriers to career advancement through research-based solutions and impactful partnerships. University of Phoenix College of Doctoral Studies researchers and faculty produce white papers and articles with insights from the Career Optimism Index® each year.

The Research hub also houses the Phoenix Scholar™, the academic research publication of University of Phoenix’s College of Doctoral Studies.

As long-time leaders in online education, University of Phoenix utilizes research to develop solutions in the core areas of entrepreneurism and leadership, organizational wellness, and instructional technology to inform workforce improvements, enhance student outcomes, improve communities and to help students, faculty and alumni grow in their career aspirations.
