Cytovance marked the milestone with a well-attended celebration at Innovation Hall, bringing together representatives from the Greater Oklahoma City Chamber, Life Science Oklahoma, local and government officials, business leaders, and longtime Cytovance partners.
“Two decades ago, Cytovance was founded with a vision to create a world-class biomanufacturing company right here in Oklahoma City,” said Ping Zhang, President and CEO of Cytovance Biologics. “Today, we are proud to celebrate 20 years of innovation, collaboration, and impact both for our partners and for the local community that has supported our growth every step of the way.”
Over the past 20 years, Cytovance has grown from a small startup into a trusted CDMO partner for biopharma companies worldwide. Its Oklahoma City facility enables the development and manufacturing of antibodies and therapeutic proteins, helping clients advance life-saving biologics from concept to commercial scale. The company has supported over 300 client programs, served more than 200 biotech and large pharma companies across more than a dozen countries, and manufactured several commercial therapies that improve patients’ lives.
“The Cytovance story is an Oklahoma City story. From the beginning, its founders believed, long before it was popular, that you could build a world-class bioscience company right here in Oklahoma. As Cytovance continues to grow and evolve, so does Oklahoma City,” said Jeffrey Seymour, President and CEO of Oklahoma City Innovation District.
Beyond its contributions to the global biopharma industry, Cytovance has remained deeply committed to Oklahoma City. The company employs more than 200 professionals, supports STEM education and workforce development programs, and actively participates in regional economic initiatives aimed at strengthening the state’s biotechnology ecosystem.
“Oklahoma has proven to be an incredible environment for companies like Cytovance to grow and thrive,” said Deborah Moorad, Secretary of Commerce for the State of Oklahoma. “Congratulations to Cytovance on 20 years of innovation and impact. Their success reflects the power of collaboration among our research institutions, universities, private sector partners, and community leaders. The innovation taking place here is resonating far beyond our state’s borders and showcasing how Oklahoma is driving progress in the life sciences.”
As Cytovance looks ahead to its next chapter, the company remains focused on driving innovation, expanding capabilities, and partnering with biopharma companies to accelerate the delivery of transformative medicines to patients worldwide.
