Colbeck Capital Management (“Colbeck”) today announced its continued support of New Heights Youth through sponsorship of the organization’s 20th Anniversary Gala held at Gotham Hall in New York. The milestone event on October 16 welcomed more than 330 guests to celebrate two decades of empowering underserved youth through education, mentorship, and athletics.
As a sports-based youth development organization, New Heights combines basketball programming with services that support college and career readiness, social emotional learning, and physical and mental health. This year’s Gala honored New Heights’ inaugural Class of 2006 for their achievements both on and off the court and featured the premiere of Full Circle, a short film showcasing the transformative journey of a New Heights student-athlete.
Since its founding in 2005, New Heights has helped 100% of its student-athletes graduate high school and achieve a 98% college matriculation rate, with over $70 million in scholarships and financial aid awarded. The organization designs and delivers a variety of after-school, weekend and summer programs that engage upwards of 1,500 young people annually. Thanks to the generosity of Gala attendees and sponsors like Colbeck Co-Founder Jason Colodne, New Heights is embarking on a four-year strategic plan to expand programs and services that prepare New York City student-athletes for success in high school, college, and life.
